Funke Egbemode set to launch second book! Mark, Tambuwal, Anyim,Uduaghan, Kalu to grace the occassion

The only reason why you will not know Funke Egbemode will be due to your unfamiliarity with the Nigerian dailies. The celebrated columnist has been writing on matters that pertains to love and relationships for decades now and she is set to launch her second book titled, 'Conversations with my country'. The book which is a compilation of Mrs Egbemode's well-read columns in Nigeria's national newspapers will be launched on December 12, 2013 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State, starting from 10am.



Eminent Nigerians are expected to grace the launch, amongst them are the President of the Senate, Dr. David Mark; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal; and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius anyim.
Also expected at the high profile event are the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, who is the Chief Presenter; the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashoa (SAN), who is the Host Governor; and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Famfa Oil, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, who is the Guest Speaker. A former Governor of Abia State and Chairman of Slok Group of Companies, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, is the Chief Host.
Egbemode, whose columns attract wide readership, has several years of qualitative journalism experience spanning The Punch, ThisDay, Daily Independent and the Sun Newspapers among others.

Mrs Funke Egbemode had previously published a book that was also culled from her writings, but that had taken the route of relationship and love matters as opposed to this new work which is about Nigeria.
She is at present the General Editor of the Sun newspaper titles.
