PrincessTalks: What I do when I experience bitter 'envy' moments!

PrincessTalks: What I do when I experience bitter 'envy' moments!

To very many people the word 'envy' is associated with the "seven most deadly sins" but taking a deep look around there isn't anybody who hasn't experienced such bitter moments, the very moment when what you lack stares directly at you or the moment you learn of someone else’s success where you have failed or someone else’s beauty when you are scared of what you look like. Basically it is not about the feeling but how well you control that feeling. Most times people lash out once they are hit by the ugly surge but it is nothing a deep breath can't handle.

Envy develops from our own insecurities, fear and anger over the prospect of failure but instead of being envious we need to realize that something depressing can also be sober moments that teach us where it is we are holding back; that direct and shows us where we have been struck. Rather than get angry that someone else is succeeding, you can try reflecting and figure out where you are hitting all wrong and possible solutions on how to better yourself.

We consider envy as the problem while the actual problem is how well we deal with it, rather than channel envy to hatred, anger, bitterness we can dwell in it and let it be an inspiring force, look inside for something positive and hold onto. Rather than hate consider the person as a role model, a mentor to help you get to your goal, and above it all - you just have to love yourself for who you are, what you do and for your family without that self love, there will always be that negativity around you, that sense of being inferior.
If you truly want to channel that ugly feeling 'envy' into a source of inspiration, a source of strength, you start first by accepting your own short comings without beating yourself over it.
